Plastic Atlas

Publication Since 1950, 9.2 billion tonnes of plastic have been produced, or one tonne per capita today on the planet. Plastic, a cheap and practical material to produce, is omnipresent in our lives and in our ecosystems. Who are responsible for the plastic crisis, and what are the alternatives to get out of our dependence on this ubiquitous material? What are the political levers and at what scales to support these alternatives? These are all questions that this Atlas tries to answer. The French version of this Atlas is the result of a partnership between the Paris, Dakar, Rabat and Tunis offices of the Heinrich-Böll Stiftung Foundation, the Ecological Factory and the Break Free From Plastic movement.
